Working with Tyler has shown me how little I understand myself - and this is what growth looks like. My old ¨script¨ was that sexual trauma and anorexia made me disconnected from my body, and social anxiety made me disconnected from people. I hated how limited my life had become, but I was nothing without that identity. I eventually worked up the courage to book an escort, as I knew life wouldn't change unless I faced my fears head-on. To me, the contradiction in working with a ¨sex worker¨ like Tyler is that it's as much about everything else as it is about sex. That's the only way I can put it, as it's essentially about human connection. It's also about self-knowledge, self-compassion, and rewriting your old script while feeling supported at every step.
